Research and Scholarly Activity

PGY-2 pharmacy residents are required to complete a major research project. The resident is expected to be the primary investigator with support from preceptor project mentors who have experience in their topic area. Research projects are presented at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting as well as the Southeastern Residency Conference. Each project will be written up for publication at the end of the year. Residents also co-precept at least one PharmD student, complete one medication use evaluation and present formal educational presentations to health care professionals.
