Mission
The Office of Academic Affairs Richmond is pivotal in managing the approval process for all shadowing, clinical, and non-clinical students. This ensures that students and academic programs meet all compliance requirements Bon Secours Mercy Health sets forth. We aim to streamline the student placement process and provide guidance and ongoing support.

Required Paperwork

A preceptor is required before completing the application process. The Office of Academic Affairs does not find placement for students.

Step 1: For clinical placement only, confirm your school has an affiliation agreement with Bon Secours. See a current list below.
Step 2: Find a preceptor who can accommodate your desired placement and dates.
Step 3: Complete the online application. You can find the link, a checklist, and all required compliance documents on the first page of the instructions.
Step 4: All paperwork must be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs.
Step 5: Await approval notice from the Office of Academic Affairs. Once approved, a badge will be issued.
