Faraaz Yousuf has served as president of the Bon Secours Richmond market since December 2019. Prior to this role, Yousuf was chief strategy officer for the Atlantic Group. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Yousuf served as president and senior vice president of LifeBridge Health. He also previously held the role of chief operating officer for Sutter Health and Hospital Corporation of America. Yousuf holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Chief Operating Officer
Christopher Accashian has served as chief operating officer (COO) of the Bon Secours Richmond market since July 2020. Since joining the ministry in 2016, he has also served as the president of Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center and Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Accashian served in a variety of leadership roles within Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Accashian earned a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a Medline Scholar and chapter president of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Virginia.
Mark Townsend, M.D.
Chief Clinical Officer
Mark Townsend, M.D. serves as the chief clinical officer (CCO) for the Bon Secours Richmond market. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Townsend spent over a decade with Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia where he gained local, state and national leadership expertise, developed cross-functional teams, and managed financial responsibility and effective oversight. Dr. Townsend is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he received a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in modern languages. He attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and adult congenital cardiology. Dr. Townsend also holds a Master of Health Care Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Brenda Woodcock, MS, RN, WHNP, NEA-BC, serves as the chief nursing officer for the Bon Secours Richmond market. She joined Bon Secours in 2020 as part of the acquisition of Southside Medical Center where she served as chief nursing officer since 2016. For more than 20 years, she has held many nursing and nursing leadership positions, including both ACNO and CNO positions. Woodcock received her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She is currently anticipating completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with Liberty University in 2021.
