Wellness & Prevention Services

The East End Wellness Clinic (IVNA), located in the East End Medical Office Building at 2603 Nine Mile Road, offers walk-in and scheduled nursing services. Open from 8a.m. – 4p.m., the IVNA team offers medical screenings, vaccinations, and health education to the East End Community. In addition, special events are scheduled through the IVNA nursing team, which include full vaccination clinics, including seasonal Flu vaccination offerings.

Emergency Services

The Richmond Community Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is outfitted with 19 emergency beds, and two behavioral health crisis screening areas. The ED at Richmond Community serves more than 35,000 patients each year.

Imaging Services

Richmond Community Hospital offers quality medical imaging using the latest technology. At our main campus in the East End, services include digital radiography, flouroscopy, CT, MRI (with a new large bore installation anticipated in early 2024), ultrasound, nuclear medicine and 3-D mammography. At the Laburnum Imaging Center, services include 3-D mammography and bone densitometry / DEXA.

Behavioral Health

Richmond Community Hospital offers a full range of behavioral health and substance use disorder services to patients in the East End and the Greater Richmond region. Our inpatient behavioral health unit offers intensive care led by a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Behavioral health care is led by a board-certified psychiatrist, and each patient will receive excellent services from our nursing, social work, and recreational therapy teams. At Richmond Community, we also offer outpatient services through our Partial Hospitalization Program; also led by our skilled psychiatry team, patients participate in groups, individual, and family therapy.

Oncology

Cardiology

The cardiovascular services offered at Richmond Community Hospital include echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and stress testing. Keith Hart, APC of the Bon Secours Cardiology Associates team provides excellent care in our outpatient cardiology clinic Monday through Friday, located in the Richmond Community Medical Office Buidling, 1510 N. 28th Street., Suite 210.

General Surgery

Dr. Sonya Faircloth of Foot and Ankle Specialists of Virginia provides a wide range of podiatry services to patients in the East End. Physical Therapy

The physical therapy and rehabilitation department at Richmond Community Hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient care to patients in the East End. Inpatient services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology services to evaluate and treat a wide array of acute conditions including stroke, respiratory conditions, and deconditioning due to chronic infection. The outpatient team offers physical therapy services to treat musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation following orthopedic surgery, fall prevention, balance improvement and reduction of chronic pain.

Home Healthcare

The Bon Secours Home Healthcare team of nurses, home health aides, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, medical social workers, and chaplains offer advanced services so you can recover in the comfort of your own home. We’ll provide the tools you need to heal including oxygen, wheelchairs, walkers, beds and lift chairs. Our team works directly with your doctor to develop a care plan that fits your life. In most cases you can qualify for home care if you are homebound, under a doctor’s care and require the skilled services of a nurse or licensed therapist.

Hospice

Bon Secours Hospice is about compassionate care. This idea has guided us during almost 30 years of helping thousands of patients and their families. Our services include inpatient and outpatient hospice care, grief support, and the Bon Secours Community Hospice House.

Pharmacy

The pharmacy department of Richmond Community Hospital encompasses both inpatient and outpatient services. The department seeks to provide optimum levels of pharmaceutical care to our patients in an atmosphere focused on safety, educational enhancement, professional respect, and communication.
