Meet Steven
I went to medical school with the intention and commitment to serve as a family physician in the type of rural underserved community from which I came. With this in mind, I received a NHSC scholarship for my medical education and began full scope family medicine in rural North Carolina. In this setting many patients are elderly and my interest in better caring for them led me to pursue a fellowship in Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
