January 2025 Good |
|
January 2025 Dr Ridgeway is awesome at what he does. I was having severe hip pain and extreme difficulty walking. I could barely get around at all. After viewing my x-rays, Dr Ridgeway ascertained that my hip joints were fine, no damage. He showed me, by touching tender points on both sides of my hips, that the pain was being caused by a muscle coming from my back that runs down both sides of my hips and legs. I was so surprised. He said that those muscles can become too tight, sometimes from sitting a certain way for a long time. The muscles can be made to relax by certain therapies and he referred me for physical therapy. He also gave me a shot of cortisone to help relieve the pain. I had a chiropractic appointment scheduled so I asked him if that might help too and he said yes. In less than a week my pain has nearly resolved and I can walk normally again, which is like a miracle! Now that the pain is gone I can feel the muscles that need strengthening to prevent the other muscles from becoming to tight. So the PT will help me resolve that problem. I'm so grateful to Dr Ridgeway and his expertise! |
