Dr. Dena Krishnan is board certified in internal medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Master of Science from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. Krishnan completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Dr. Krishnan specializes in preventive noninvasive cardiology, in particular how heart disease can occur differently and prematurely in certain populations, such as women and ethnic minorities. Dr. Krishnan is a member of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology, the National Lipid Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr. Krishnan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, children and dog, as well as cooking, traveling, reading and doing yoga.
