Meet April
I started my healthcare career in 1993 as an RN specializing in trauma, burn and brain injury. I then worked as a liver transplant coordinator caring for pre and post-transplant patients, along with being a living donor coordinator. This led me to pursue my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2015. I worked in Primary Care for 4 years, then joined the Liver Institute in 2019. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and underwater photography.

March 2025 April is an amazing person who is extremely knowledgeable in her field and I'm proud to call her my liver Doc. I feel that we connect on a personal level, not just on a clinical/sterile patient-doc relationship. She truly cares about me and is always very responsive. If I did not feel this way I would not make the 2 hour drive to continue to receive treatment from her and find someone closer to home. She deserves a promotion :) |

March 2025 April is always professional and I have total confidence in her ability. Beyond that, she never makes me feel rushed and answers any questions I have thoroughly and in a way I can understand. I have recommended this practice to others. |

March 2025 My PA is very easy to talk to and just with her questions about how I am doing she draws very good ideas of what is happening to me. |
