Meet April
I started my healthcare career in 1993 as an RN specializing in trauma, burn and brain injury. I then worked as a liver transplant coordinator caring for pre and post-transplant patients, along with being a living donor coordinator. This led me to pursue my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2015. I worked in Primary Care for 4 years, then joined the Liver Institute in 2019. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and underwater photography.

November 2023 This visit, an unexpected issue came up concerning some blood work that was done. April Ashworth explained in detail the next steps I needed to take and the tests she would be ordering. She knew I had a PCP visit the next day and by 9:00 when I arrived for my appointment she had already contacted my PCP with her concerns and suggestions for additional blood work. Even my PCP was surprised at how quickly she responded. |
