St. Mary’s Expansion Master Plan
Bon Secours is investing $370 million in a major expansion at St. Mary’s Hospital to enhance patient care and modernize our facilities. At the heart of this project is the construction of a new eight-story critical care tower featuring expanded ICU services, new operating rooms, and allow us to privatize all patient rooms so we can better meet the needs of our growing community.

Other key components of the project include:
- Improved traffic flow into campus and wayfinding
- New loading doc and oxygen yard, with landscaping to screen street view
- Following completion of tower, renovation of existing hospital spaces will begin
Estimated Timeline:
- Pre-construction work: Spring 2025
- Temporary entrance opens: July 2025
- Tower construction begins: Fall 2025
- LINAC relocation complete: Late Spring 2026
- Project completion: 2028
