Clinical Pastoral Education
If you are searching for a clinical pastoral education (CPE) program that will help you improve your competency in the art of relational ministry, please consider the CPE program at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center.
Through this program, you will gain hands-on ministry engagement with patients, families and staff under the supervision of board-certified chaplains. Ministers, seminary students and qualified laypersons engage in intense spiritual care relationships, while providing feedback that helps develop pastoral care authority and increase self-awareness.
Located in Portsmouth, home to one of America’s most historic naval seaports, Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is close to many exciting attractions, including the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center. The beautiful Virginia Beach oceanfront is just minutes away from the campus, and Portsmouth serves as “mile marker zero” for the Intracoastal Waterway, a network of canals, inlets, bays and rivers running along the Eastern Seaboard to the Florida Keys.
