Traci Wakefield graduated with a diploma of nursing from Richmond Memorial School of Nursing in 1995. Since that time she was worked at the bedside, as an educator, and as an administrator. She graduated with a master’s degree in Acute Care Nursing in 2007. Since then she has found that her passion is caring for vulnerable patients and their families. In 2014, Traci completed her master’s degree in health administration. As a Nurse Practitioner, Traci has worked with neurology and neurosurgical patients in a neuroscience intensive care unit before joining the Bon Secours team. Here at Bon Secours she is the inpatient neurology nurse practitioner and neuroscience coordinator.
Outside of work, Traci enjoys spending time with her family and church community. She has a special interest in social justice for those underserved.
She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Neuroscience Nurses Association and the Neurocritical Care Society. Her research interest includes intensive care readmission and impact of nursing education on patient outcomes.
