Dr. Patel was born and raised in Richmond. He attended Woolridge Elementary School, Swift Creek Middle School, and graduated from the prestigious Chesterfield County Mathematics and Science High School at Clover Hill in 2006. He then earned double bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Sociology from the University of Virginia in 2010. He continued his education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his medical degree in 2014. Dr. Patel then went on to complete an all-encompassing Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery residency program at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital, a 496-bed level 1 trauma hospital located in Philadelphia, where he had the privilege of serving as chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Patel’s expertise includes all aspects of foot and ankle care including simple and complex deformity management/reconstruction, conservative and surgical intervention of traumatic injuries, cosmetic forefoot/bunion surgery, ankle arthroscopy, joint implants, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and sports medicine.
His professional affiliations include the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.
Dr. Patel is happy to be back in his hometown of Richmond to serve his community’s foot and ankle needs.
