Saghana B. Chakrabortty, MD, holds a medical degree from the University of Miami in Miami, Fla. He completed his residency in family medicine at Ghent Family Practice, Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, he earned a doctor of philosophy degree from the School of Chemical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga., where he also received a master’s degree through the Department of Metallurgy. Dr. Chakrabortty also has a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.
Dr. Chakrabortty is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a community faculty member of Eastern Virginia Medical School.Prior to joining Bon Secours, he was in private practice in Virginia Beach, Va.
In his spare time Dr. Chakrabortty likes to practice yoga, play musical instruments and volunteer at the Beach Health Clinic.
