Dr. Goudar's particular clinical interests include the care of patients with breast cancer, precancerous breast biopsies, and comprehensive genetic risk assessment for patients at higher risk of cancer due to family history or deleterious mutations. He serves as the director of the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at Lake Wright.
A Virginia Beach native, Dr. Goudar received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Virginia, where he was a Jefferson Scholar. He earned his doctorate in medicine and completed both his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology/oncology at Duke University. He is a graduate of the City of Hope Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment. Dr. Goudar is board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Goudar is an active faculty member at Eastern Virginia Medical School where he supervises the training of internal medicine residents. He is the author of several research publications and book chapters.
