Dr. Radhika Thorn received her undergraduate degree in computer science at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where she also completed her internal medicine residency and hematology oncology fellowship. She is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematolog and Oncology.
Dr. Thorn has participated in research for reduced intensity allogeneic transplants and presented this research at the 2013 American Society of Hematology meeting in New Orleans. This research was also published in the Biology of Blood Marrow Transplant in 2015. Dr. Thorn’s special interests include multiple myeloma, lymphoma, lung cancer, and gastrointestinal cancers. Her treatment philosophy is to first help patients navigate through and comprehend all the tests and diagnoses and then make decisions together with the patient and their families. In her free time, she enjoys tennis, hiking, restaurants, and family time.
