Dr. Michael White attended Wake Forest University for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and residency at Vidant Medical Center. In addition, Dr. White completed a surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope National Medical Center.
Dr. White enjoys taking care of a variety of cancer types, but has a special interest in hepatobiliary, pancreatic and gastrointestinal tract malignancies. Over the course of his training, he has completed numerous research projects that look to advance the next phase of cancer treatments. In his free time, he enjoys camping, fly-fishing, mountain biking, skiing, and golfing.
