Melissa A. McCrary, PA-C
Melissa A. McCrary, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in health sciences from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Before joining Bon Secours, Mrs. McCrary practiced in emergency health care, assessing patients and performing histories and physical exams in minor emergency care and intermediate care. She then worked for the Bon Secours Neuroscience Center for Pain Management, treating patients with chronic pain until transferring to Bon Secours Western Branch Primary Care.
Mrs. McCrary is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants and Medical Society of Virginia. She is passionate about spreading awareness of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a rare, serious condition that occurs in identical twin pregnancies when the placenta is shared and abnormal blood vessel connections form, causing uneven blood flow between the babies.
