Matthew A. Dobzyniak, MD
Dr. Matthew A. Dobzyniak specializes in joint replacement of the hip and knee and is a member of the Joint Replacement Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. He was then awarded a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at Charlotte Orthopaedic Specialists.
Dr. Dobzyniak and his medical staff treat adult patients with hip and knee problems resulting from arthritis, injuries, and trauma. He has a special interest in treating younger adults with arthritis and helping manage their symptoms without the use of surgical intervention. If surgery is required, he is skilled and experienced in minimally invasive procedures such as anterior hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, computer-guided surgery, and partial knee replacement. Dr. Dobzyniak performs over 600 joint replacement surgeries a year and continually strives to be knowledgeable in the most up-to-date procedures.
Dr. Dobzyniak is very focused on his family as a result of growing up in a tightly knit Polish community in Detroit, Michigan. He is married and has three children. In his free time, he is often found at the river with his family. He enjoys fishing, hunting and water sports. He is also a skilled carpenter and is actively renovating his home.
