Lori brings a diversified treatment background and an abundance of knowledge to Bon Secours Physical Therapy. She has been a Physical Therapist practicing in outpatient orthopedics in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Virginia since 2005. She has had the opportunity to work with pediatric, geriatric, cardiac, workers’ compensation, and athletic populations. Lori is the Rehab Manager for Physical Therapy at Westchester, a part of Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center, Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center Lymphedema Clinic and Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital Lymphedema Clinic.
Lori excels in the treatment of spine and extremity injuries, as well as developmental disorders and cardiac conditions. She specializes in treating the athlete in each individual, patients with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), as well as pre- and post-operative orthopedic patients. She achieved her certification (PRC) from Postural Restoration Institute (PRI®) in 2014. This treatment approach focuses on achieving and maintaining neuromuscular biomechanical neutral positions for each individual’s optimal functioning.
Personally, Lori brings sports experience to the clinic as well. She graduated from The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina where she was the captain of her swim team. She has participated in many sports in her life and continues to participate in athletics through competing in Masters Swimming, dodgeball and the occasional round of golf. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two step-children.
