A board-certified family physician, Dr. Stone received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Stone earned her medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. Upon graduating from medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. A member of the military for 11 years, she completed her internship and residency in family medicine at the US Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, serving as chief resident in her final year. In addition, Dr. Stone attended Flight Surgeon School at the Naval Operational Medicine Institute in Pensacola, Florida.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Stone offers comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages, from infants to senior adults. Specifically, her scope of care includes management of acute illnesses as well as the provision of preventive services such as well child and well woman care. Moreover, she has extensive experience in collaborative care for people suffering from complex chronic conditions.
Dr. Stone is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has won numerous awards including a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and was named the 2000-2001 Family Practice Resident of the Year.
