I chose to become a Geriatrician because they are trained to consider the needs of a whole person rather than focusing on the symptoms; improving the function and quality of life. I enjoy seeing the smile on my patients faces when they regain their independence and return to normal life after a debilitating illness or injury. Knowing I have made a difference in someone's life is so rewarding!
