Katie joined Physical Therapy at Patterson, a part of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, shortly after receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a Richmond native, she is proud to serve the community that she grew up in.
Katie is a graduate of Godwin High School, in western Henrico, where she excelled as a tennis player. Her senior year, she led her team to a State Championship victory, while also winning the individual singles and doubles tournaments. She was inducted into the Godwin High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
Katie played four years of varsity college tennis at Virginia Tech. She was a four-time All ACC Academic Team honoree, while earning her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition Foods and Exercise. As a former athlete, she is an enthusiastic motivator and encourages her patients to stay active. Katie’s interests include working with orthopedic patients, particularly post-operative patients and those with sports related injuries; as well as helping restore function and independence to the geriatric population.
In her free time, Katie still enjoys playing tennis, exercising, cooking, and spending family time with her husband and daughter.
