Dr. Coury joined Colon and Rectal Specialists in August 2017. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery of the colon and rectum. He also has a special interest in treating fecal incontinence and obstructive defecation syndrome in patients with rectoceles.
Dr. Coury is Board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and then earned a Master’s Degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. He completed his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School, followed by a residency in general surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He finished his training with a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio.
