Joseph Frenkel, MD, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon He received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Boston University and a colorectal surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He received additional training in minimally invasive colorectal surgery and rectal cancer management at a fellowship with Marks Colorectal Surgical Associates at Lankenau Medical Center and Institute for Medical Research. Dr. Frenkel is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is an assistant professor for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
