Internal medicine allows me to connect with people at times in their lives where they are most vulnerable and in need of help. I enjoy the challenge of diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of emergent and nonemergent problems. The secret to this calling is being able to connect with the patients on a personal level. Once you are able to make that connections, it is no longer work.
