Dr. James Rousseau’s family grew up in the Hendersonville, North Carolina area before he fell in love with Greenville and made it his permanent home.
He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. He completed his medical degree and residency from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Prior to joining the Center for Adult and Family Medicine, Dr. Rousseau worked as a Hospitalist. His strong belief in using best practices to evaluate and treat his patients allows him to deliver a superior level of compassionate care. Dr. Rousseau’s focus is on preventive medicine along with the management and treatment of chronic conditions. With his past experience in treating critically ill patients in the hospital setting and serving on Quality Committees, he raises the standard on delivering comprehensive, coordinated care.
Dr. Rousseau believes that defining health is more than just clinical statistics; it is about being there for each and every patient. He has a wife and son, and enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking and exploring all that Greenville has to offer.
Dr. Rousseau is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is accepting new patients.
