Dr. Crum is a board certified family physician who has a special interest in geriatric medicine. He works closely with his patients and their families and caregivers to provide advice to help them navigate the medical challenges that come with aging.
Dr. Crum was born in Plant City, Florida. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his family practice residency with Portsmouth Family Medicine / Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is Associate Community Faculty with EVMS and provides hands on training to their medical students.
Dr. Crum began his practice in Portsmouth in 1987 working with Dr. Maurice Schlanger until his retirement in 1990. At that time he founded Family Medicine, P.C. and brought many of Dr. Schlanger’s patients with him. He remains on medical staff with Maryview Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Society of Virginia and the American Medical Association.
In his free time Dr. Crum enjoys boating, racquetball, gardening, and visiting his grandchildren in South Carolina.
