Eric Floranda, MD
Dr. Eric Floranda is a neurologist at our clinic on Watkins Centre Parkway. He received both his Bachelor of Science in biology and medical degree from the University of the Philippines. His postdoctoral training includes a general medicine internship at the University of the Philippines, internal medicine internship and residency at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and neurology residency at the University of Connecticut, where he was the chief resident. In addition, Dr. Floranda completed a neuromuscular medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Floranda is a member in several different professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has participated in several publications, research projects and presentations. Dr. Floranda’s specialty interests are muscle diseases, peripheral nerve injury, large and small-fiber polyneuropathies, myasthenia gravis and motor neuron disease. He performs EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies and skin biopsy for intraepidermal nerve fiber analysis. In his spare time, Dr. Floranda likes to spend time with his family, travel and play basketball.
