Dr. Douglas Barnas is a board-eligible obstetrician and gynecologist. He received his Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He obtained his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Barnas completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Barnas worked as an obstetrician/gynecologist, a research specialist in a translational research lab for HIV testing of genotypic and phenotypic resistance patterns, and in a couple of manufacturing technician positions. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He has participated in a number of presentations, abstracts and publications.
