Dr. Cochran obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and continued his education at the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine (USUHS) where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1985.
He completed a Pediatric Internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in 1986 and a Family Practice Internship at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia in 1992. By 1994 his Family Practice Residency was also completed at Columbus Regional Medical Center. Dr. Cochran has held several professional or teaching appointments during his career including Instructor, University of Maryland, Human Biology: Genetics, Assistant Professor Eastern Virginia Medical School, Chairman, Department of Family Practice at Portsmouth General Hospital and Maryview Medical Center. He is an avid movie buff and enjoys spending time with his family.
