David E. Carleton, MD, is a graduate of Bucknell University, having received his BA in 1994. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia in 2002 which was followed by his post graduate training in Internal Medicine. He completed his Rheumatology fellowship at MCV in 2008. In addition to his private practice, he is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University/MCV campus. His practice interests include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and other connective tissue diseases, gout, and regional musculoskeletal disorders. He is a native of New Haven, Connecticut.
