Dr Atkinson is from Arkansas where he did the majority of his training in medical school and residency. He completed a chronic pain fellowship program in Georgia and then moved to the Upstate to begin practicing pain management. He specializes in chronic pain management, and uses diagnostic and therapeutic non-surgical interventions, including the Intracept procedure for Basivertebral nerve ablation to allow rapid relief and functional recovery.
