Bhavdeep Gupta, MD, FACC, is board-certified in nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University, in New Delhi, India. He completed a rotating internship at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital in New Delhi, where he also completed postgraduate residency (PGY1) in medicine and orthopaedics. Dr. Gupta completed postgraduate residencies in internal medicine at SK Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi (PGY2&3)
After migrating to United States, Dr. Gupta trained at the Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y., finishing his postgraduate residencies in medicine and pediatrics. He completed his fellowship training in cardiology at the Episcopal Heart Institute in Philadelphia, Pa., with the fellowship awarded by the American College of Cardiology, and his interventional fellowship training at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia.
Dr. Gupta is a member of the Portsmouth Academy of Medicine. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Department of Medicine, in Norfolk, VA.
In addition to having experience in clinical cardiology, echocardiography, stress testing and nuclear cardiac imaging, Dr. Gupta is highly trained in invasive and interventional cardiology, including cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty and coronary stenting.
