Barry Katchinoff, MD
Barry Katchinoff, MD is a board certified sleep medicine physician. He received his bachelor of arts in biology from Queens College, City University of New York in Queens, New York and obtained his medical degree from Catholic University of Louvain in Louvain, Belgium. He completed his residency in neurology at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he was chief resident during his final year. Dr. Katchinoff went on to complete a fellowship in neuromuscular disease at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Katchinoff is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Richmond Academy of Medicine, Medical Society of Virginia and Virginia Academy of Sleep Medicine. He focuses on treating all aspects of a patient’s needs, including continuous positive airway pressure therapy. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Katchinoff was in private practice in the Richmond area since 1983. He enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, watching soccer, reading in French and English, listening to jazz and opera, and cooking.
