Since 2009, Avery has specialized in Pelvic Health, Orthopedic, and Sports Medicine Physical Therapy. Her practice focuses on Women's Health issues, and she earned her Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP) from the American Physical Therapy Association. This certification enables her to treat a variety of male and female pelvic floor disorders. She is an instructor for Bon Secours prenatal education program, teaching “The Fourth Trimester, Taking Care of Mom” class at area Bon Secours hospitals.
While her husband was on active duty in the US Navy, Avery had the opportunity practice up and down the east coast in several PT clinics. She and her family are happy to have finally settled back in Richmond for good.
When she is not working, Avery tries to herd three young children, assisted by her collie/lab mix, Frank "Bubba" Horgan.
