Apurva M. Patel, MD, FACC, is board-certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Patel completed his postgraduate residencies in internal medicine at Woodhull Hospital, SUNY Health Science Center, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed a first-year fellowship in cardiology from Mount Sinai Services: Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, N.Y., as well as second- and third-year cardiology fellowships from the Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed interventional cardiology fellowship from the Brown University Program in Medicine, The Miriam Hospital, in Providence, R.I.
Dr. Patel is a member of the Portsmouth Academy of Medicine and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Cardiac Catheterization & Angiography. He is currently an assistant professor of clinical medicines at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Department of Medicine, in Norfolk, Virginia.
