Dr. Anthony Cassano attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his general surgery residency from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, Dr. Cassano completed his cardiovascular surgery fellowship at
the Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine and trained in thoracic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Cassano is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.Dr. Cassano specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the chest. His special interests include lung cancer, tumors of the chest wall, and post traumatic rib fracture reconstruction. In his spare time, Dr. Cassano enjoys fishing, kayaking, and spending time at the beach with his family.
