The South Carolina COVID-19 Vaccine Plan includes several phases of vaccine distribution and administration. DHEC has allowed for Phase 1a (for a full list, please visit the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control website) and those in the community 65 years of age and older. At this time, there is limited vaccine supply and we will schedule patients as the vaccine is available. We expect these appointments to fill up quickly and appreciate your patience as we work through the process of providing vaccines to those in our communities.

If you qualify for the vaccine as a Phase 1a recipient or are over 65 years in age, call the Bon Secours COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule your COVID-19 appointment.

Depending on which brand of COVID-19 vaccine you receive, you may receive a single-dose or you may need to return to the same location for a second dose.

  • The Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
  • For the Pfizer vaccine, your second shot will be scheduled as close as possible to 21 days after the first shot.
  • For the Moderna vaccine, your second shot will be scheduled as close as possible to 28 days after the first shot.

Because of the limited COVID-19 vaccine supply, we are unable to guarantee whether you will receive the J&J, Moderna or Pfizer vaccine until you arrive at your appointment.

What to bring to your appointment

The vaccine clinic is located in Room 302 of the Bernadine Center located at 5 St. Francis Dr.  Parking will be available for vaccine recipients only in the Kirk lot, located on the North side of the Bernadine Building towards Academy Street.

You will need to bring the following items to your appointment:

  • A mask (if you do not have a mask, one will be provided)
  • Form of identification
  • Insurance card
  • An attestation form is available for you to print and complete prior to your appointment.

Patients are encouraged to come without visitors, but one person will be allowed to accompany the patient to a visit if needed to ensure appropriate understanding and implementation of care plans discussed at the visit or to support physical needs of the patient.

Canceling your COVID-19 vaccine appointment

Please note that there is limited COVID-19 vaccine supply and we schedule patients as the vaccine is available. If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, we will not be able to reschedule your appointment at the time of cancellation and you will need to restart the scheduling process when we receive additional vaccine.
