Bon Secours Strengthens Access to Coordinated Care Across Western Virginia with 12 Urgent Care Centers
Health ministry now operates 24 urgent care locations statewide

Richmond, Va. (May 28, 2026) — Bon Secours is strengthening access to coordinated care across western Virginia following the completion of the integration of 12 existing urgent care centers into its healthcare ministry. The locations, acquired from MedExpress Urgent Care in March 2025, are now operating under the Bon Secours Urgent Care brand, supporting more connected care across the Blue Ridge region.

Over the past year, Bon Secours has invested in facility upgrades and business operations to integrate the locations into the ministry’s ambulatory care network, delivering a consistent patient experience while supporting long term sustainability in the communities served.

With the addition of the Blue Ridge locations, Bon Secours now operates 24 urgent care centers across Virginia, including 11 in Richmond, one in Hampton Roads, and 12 across western Virginia. This expansion extends the ministry’s urgent care presence beyond Central Virginia and deeper into the Blue Ridge region, strengthening access to convenient, walk in care while improving coordination between urgent care sites and the Bon Secours ministry’s primary care providers, specialty practices, and hospitals when follow up or higher level care is needed.

Designed with convenience in mind, Bon Secours Urgent Care locations offer walk in availability, online reservations, evening and weekend hours and retail based settings with free parking.

“Integrating these urgent care centers into the Bon Secours ministry allows us to strengthen the level of care provided in these communities by bringing in trusted, up-to-date and compassionate medicine,” said Dr. Carlton Stadler, regional medical director for Bon Secours Urgent Care in Virginia. “Patients rely on a brand they know and trust and benefit from clearer pathways to follow up care and easier connection to primary, specialty and hospital services when additional support is needed.”

Supported by an integrated healthcare ministry, Bon Secours Urgent Care locations now serve communities across the Blue Ridge region, including Bluefield, Charlottesville, Christiansburg, Culpeper, Danville, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, Martinsville, Roanoke, Staunton and Winchester.

If additional care is needed, urgent care teams can help patients navigate next steps within the Bon Secours ministry, including coordination with nearby hospitals and providers.

Bon Secours Urgent Care treats a wide range of non-life-threatening conditions for children and adults, including allergies and asthma; insect bites; colds, cough, flu and bronchitis; cuts, minor stitches and fractures; ear infections and swimmer’s ear; sprains and strains; sore throats and strep throat; stomach pain, nausea and vomiting and urinary tract infections.
