Spiritual Care
Drawing on its religious foundations, OLBH prides itself on offering faith-based services to all -- providing emotional support, comfort, encouragement and spiritual aid to those in need.

The Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, located on the first floor, serves as a place for prayer and reflection.

Spiritual Care Services provide support for patients and family members and OLBH staff through counseling, bedside visitation and prayer. OLBH's Spiritual Care staff members are knowledgeable in assisting with end-of-life issues and ethical dilemmas.

By request, a chaplain can arrange for patients to be visited by a member of their own clergy or religious community. Roman Catholic sacraments are available. We will contact a patient's priest or the hospital priest, by request. We are available to conduct the ordinances of communion and baptism, upon request, for those of other Christian traditions.

To contact a chaplain, call 606-833-3115. To request a prayer, email careline@bshsi.org

To speak with a chaplain at our hospitals, please call one of the numbers listed below. For 24-hour Emergency service, please dial 804-287-PRAY[7729], and ask the operator to page the chaplain on call.

Medical Plaza Pharmacy
Patients can have all of their pharmaceutical needs met at the Medical Plaza Pharmacy, conveniently located across from the hospital's main entrance. Patients can have prescriptions filled before leaving their hospital room through the Meds 2 Beds program, eliminating the need to stop at a pharmacy on the way home from the hospital.
The pharmacy offers fast service, patient counseling, competitive pricing -- including senior discounts and a liquid medication flavoring system.  In addition, a variety of over-the-counter medications and toiletries are available.

Most insurance plans including KMA are accepted.

The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

For more information, please call the Medical Plaza Pharmacy at 606-833-3510.

How Do We Determine Your Price
Bon Secours provides out of pocket cost estimates as a service to our patients. We will give you a range of what the costs usually are for your condition or procedure. Please keep in mind that these are estimates, and that exact costs often vary.

Your estimate will include everything involved in your care during your stay, with the exception of doctor fees.

Doctors who take care of you during your stay will send you separate bills. Examples of types of doctors who send separate bills include: the doctor who admitted you to the hospital, your surgeon, the anesthesiologist who managed your anesthesia, the radiologist who interpreted the results of your imaging scans, the pathologist who interpreted the results of your lab work, any hospitalist or specialist physicians who may have been consulted for your care, and others. These physician fees are not part of the estimate you receive from Bon Secours and will be additional charges.

Please call one of the numbers below Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. An estimate will be provided within three business days.

Bon Secours Financial Assistance Program

In the spirit of our founding Sisters, the Bon Secours Financial Assistance Program helps uninsured patients who do not qualify for government-sponsored health insurance and cannot afford to pay for their medical care. Insured patients may also qualify for assistance, based on family income, family size, and medical needs.

In an effort to offset the cost of health care, no uninsured Bon Secours patient will be billed more than the average insurance reimbursement received from our insured patients. This reflects our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve and our Mission to bring Good Help to Those in Need®.

For more information regarding our Financial Assistance program, you may call the financial counselor at any of our facilities.
