Dr. Tierney has the distinction of earning numerous awards and honors including the Surgery Award for Excellence in 1997, Intern of the Year, 1997-1998, the Ortho McNeil Young Investigator Award in 1999, and the Resident Medical Student Teaching Award, 2001-2002. He has been in practice since 2005, and his special interests include complex endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections, advanced angioplasty and stenting procedures to improve circulation through a minimally invasive approach and treatment of acute blood clots of the iliac and femoral veins and inferior vena cava. Dr. Tierney enjoys skiing, hunting, shooting sports and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
