Dr. Brugh earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, after receiving his bachelor of arts in chemistry from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After a one year general surgery internship, Dr. Brugh completed his urological residency in 2001 at the University of Virginia acting as chief resident his final year. Dr. Brugh was an American Foundation of Urologic Disease scholar at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he studied spermatogonial stem cell transplantation for the treatment of male infertility. He completed his fellowship in male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor in 2003.
Dr. Brugh specializes in general urology and has a special interest in evaluating and treating men with infertility, including those who need vasectomy reversals. He works closely with the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine and other prominent infertility centers and practitioners. Dr. Brugh is a member of the American Urological Association, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction.
Dr. Brugh enjoys running and fishing in this spare time. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
