Dr. Thomas N. Scioscia specializes in orthopedics of the spine and spine surgery. He graduated from the University of Richmond, where he was an All-American Division I baseball player as well as a Rhodes scholar candidate. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and graduated as the valedictorian of his class. He went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh for his internship and residency, followed by a fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, Dr. Scioscia also completed a teaching fellowship.
Dr. Scioscia is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has been a practicing physician with the OrthoVirginia team since 2005. Dr. Scioscia stays active in the community as the spine consultant for the University of Richmond.
