- Dr. Naviwala received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Sind Medical University and completed her internal medicine training at Raritan Bay Medical Center in New Jersey. She has completed two fellowships: Geriatrics at the University of Virginia, and Palliative Care at South Texas Veterans Health Care in San Antonio, Texas. In 2007 she started palliative services at Chippenham Johnson Willis Medical Center, an HCA affiliate in Richmond, Virginia where she served for nine years and was nominated for the first Humanitarian Award. Dr. Naviwala was consecutively named a “Top Doc” by Richmond Magazine from 2010 to 2015. She has been honored with OurHealth Magazine’s Best Bedside Manner Award in Palliative Medicine in 2013, 2014, and 2016. Dr. Naviwala enjoys the holistic and patient advocacy aspect of palliative care, and walking alongside patients and families though their difficult illness journey. She joined Bon Secours Palliative Medicine in 2016.
