Sara graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2011 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to Physical Therapy school, she obtained her Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Spanish from Virginia Tech in 2006.
She enjoys treating general orthopedic and post-operative cases, with a special interest in working with cheerleaders and dancers. Sara is certified in Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars. She strongly believes in the science behind dry needling, and is thrilled about the results that she has been able to get with her patients using this tool. Sara is a proponent of teaching throughout the rehabilitation process; she feels that it is important for patients to understand the nature of their pain or injury. She encourages lifestyle changes not only to prevent a problem from returning, but to improve overall health and quality of life.
A Virginia native, she is originally from Fairfax. She now resides in Chesterfield with her husband and daughter. In her free time, Sara enjoys traveling with her family and friends to Smith Mountain Lake, VA and Charleston, SC.
