After graduation from the Virginia Military Institute, Dr. Khawaja completed both a Master of Arts and an Educational Specialist degree from James Madison University, and was accepted into the Combined-Integrated Clinical & School Psychology doctoral program at JMU. While attending JMU, Dr. Khawaja won various awards, including a scholarship for work related to suicide prevention and an award for outstanding teaching. Dr. Khawaja then completed his internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and two years of residency/fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Neuropsychological Services of Virginia, Inc., and also attended selected didactics at the University of Virginia Medical Center and the VCU Medical Center.
As a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist, Dr. Khawaja provides personalized and confidential services including comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, and educational evaluations for patients across the age spectrum in a relaxed, professional environment. Dr. Khawaja works closely with the treatment team to provide the most advanced and effective services, and to help obtain the optimal treatment outcome.
