Dr. Idrees is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Rheumatology. A true Brit at heart, Dr Idrees grew up in the English countryside. She ventured across the pond after medical school for residency training in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NJ. There, she met her husband. She advanced her education at University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, where she obtained her Geriatrics fellowship. She then went on to complete her Rheumatology fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center, PA.
She is actively involved in many rheumatic organizations, locally and nationally, including the American College of Rheumatology and the National Arthritis foundation. She has served as the American College of Rheumatology Physician Ambassador for South Carolina. She is a member of the American college of Rheumatology “Experts on Call Committee.”
Committed to teaching, she serves as faculty for Medical School of South Carolina (MUSC), Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and Anmed Family Medicine Residency Program. In 2018 she was named “Clinical Faculty Teacher of the Year.”
Moving to be closer to family, she and her husband, along with their two children have made Greenville their home. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and following “English football.”
