Mark J. Iacobucci, MD
Dr. Mark J. Iacobucci is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Iacobucci's name means Jacob in Italian. He is from Poquoson, Virginia, where he graduated Valedictorian from Poquoson High School in 1988. He has a Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors from George Mason University and a Medical Degree with honors from Duke University. He completed an internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, and an ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has advanced training in laser eye surgery from the Cleveland Clinic where he completed a one-year fellowship in refractive surgery. After practicing ophthalmology at Monroe Clinic in Wisconsin and North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat in North Carolina, Dr. Iacobucci joined Tidewater Eye Centers, P.C. to be closer to his family in Poquoson.
While practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Iacobucci has authored numerous publications on the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and refractive surgery. Dr. Iacobucci’s specialties include treating cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatologic disorders of the eyes and refractive surgery.
Dr. Iacobucci, his wife, and their two children currently reside in Poquoson, Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, cycling, and fishing with his son.
