Dr. Malcolm earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003, after receiving his bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia in 1998. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from 2003-2008. He completed a Society of Endourology fellowship in robotics, laparoscopy, and endourology at Eastern Virginia Medical School/Urology of Virginia in 2008-2009. Following his fellowship, he joined Urology of Virginia, and he is an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Malcolm is certified by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Malcolm says, “I enjoy offering patients minimally invasive urologic treatments such as robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopic surgery, because complex problems can be managed with less pain and faster recovery”.
Dr. Malcolm specializes in minimally invasive surgery for stone disease, urologic cancers, and reconstructive urology. He has presented research at numerous national urology meetings and authored many book chapters and publications in peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Malcolm is a member of the American Urologic Association, the Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Urologic Association, and the Medical Society of Virginia.
When not working, Dr. Malcolm enjoys spending time with his family, running, snowboarding, and music.
